License and pricing
Token Optimizer is licensed under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0. It is source-available: the full source is published and can be audited by anyone. Personal, research, educational, and non-commercial use requires no license purchase.
The full license text lives in the LICENSE file in the repository. The summary below is informational guidance, not a modification of the license terms.
What each kind of use costs

| Larger company or commercial use | A commercial license. Contact below. Terms are reasonable and size-appropriate. |
Personal, hobby, research, education
Section titled “Personal, hobby, research, education”Use it freely. Full source, runs entirely on your machine, no license purchase needed. That is the intended default.
Small teams
Section titled “Small teams”Small teams (under 5 people, or under $20k per month in revenue) get a no-cost commercial license automatically. No paperwork, no purchase. If you want to sponsor the project, that is appreciated but never required.
Growing into commercial use
Section titled “Growing into commercial use”If a personal project turns into a business, past use is fine. The license has a built-in 32-day grace period after any written notice, so there is runway to sort things out. When you are ready, reach out for a commercial license.
Larger commercial use
Section titled “Larger commercial use”Companies past the small-team thresholds need a commercial license. Terms scale with company size and are designed to be reasonable. Get in touch to arrange one.

Section titled “Why source-available”Token Optimizer reads your session transcripts, configuration, and memory files. Source-available means you can audit exactly what it does before you trust it with that data. Nothing leaves your machine, and the code that proves it is open to read.
